Syrian Modern Cables
The Syrian Modern Cables Company (S.M.C) was established in 1996 at Adra, Tel Kurdi, Damascus countryside. The company constructed its building of about 105,000 square meters, installed the most up-to-date machineries and testing instrumentation laboratories for quality control and started producing the most advanced technology of cables according to the international standards (IEC), British standards (BS)…. etc.
S.M.C has succeeded in starting with low voltage, control, telephone, coaxial, domestic, and earthing cables in addition to overhead transmission lines conductors, using high quality raw materials imported from famous suppliers.
Due to the previous long experience of S.M.C shareholders mainly in this field, the company in very short time, succeeded in covering the local market needs and in exporting all kinds of conductors Aluminum, Copper and cables up to 400 KV to the Middle East, Gulf countries, as well as Europe and Africa. For this reason, the company decided to expand its activities in the field of high technology cables like local telephone, long-distance communication, data transmission cables, LSZH cables in addition to medium, high voltage cables, with production capacity 10,000 tons per a year, and 500 qualified employees.
The hard work and distinguished experiences have resulted two new factories, considered among the most important factories in Syria: (Enameled Wire Plant, Plastic Compound Granules ‘’PVC’’ Plant).
The rigid quality and high performance we apply for manufacturing, testing, marketing and selling of all our products paved the way for our company to obtain such international certificates as ISO 9001:2015 (Swiss approval international “UAF Accreditation” Certificate (, BASEC (British Approval Services for Cables) Certificate and KEMA Certificate (Holland).
Aiming to be always at the forefront, we strive constantly to develop our production lines so as to follow the latest industrial technologies. S.M.C is keen to develop and train its national expertise and to use high quality raw materials.
Our strategic goal is to cover the local and foreign markets. Whilst our main goal is to satisfy our customers’ needs, and providing them the best services.
